Phase 1b trial of MSP3 - LSP malaria vaccine candidate has been conducted in low malaria transmission area in Korogwe, Tanzania among children aged 12 to 24 months. The initiation of the project activities commenced in October 2007. The administration of the first dose to eligible participants was done on 22/11/2007. The second and third doses were administered on 17/12/2007 and on 03/01/2008, respectively. Generally, the project activities are proceeding well and none of the study cohort has been reported to have experienced adverse events. Day 84 visit for the cohort is ongoing.
